Biography
I
graduated in Biological Sciences, with biochemistry and microbiology,
at Dundee University and started my career as the research
assistant to Professor Sir William Stewart.
(He later became Chief Scientific Advisor to the HM Government).
I
then taught biology for 26 years and was Principal Teacher
of Biology at Bell Baxter High School, Cupar, Fife.
I have
personal experience of the benefits of shiatsu.
When poisoned by an insecticide in an industrial accident,
Shiatsu was the major component in my recovery. (I’m
also indebted to Dr Roger Melhuish for his support and energetic
healing therapy).
I trained for three years in Zen Shiatsu
at the Glasgow
School of Shiatsu and have studied Quantum Shiatsu™ with Pauline
Sasaki. For the past two years I have been the only therapist
from Britain to attend the advanced Quantum Shiatsu™ workshops
in New York.
I have carried out treatments in Scotland, Norway
and New York and members of the medical profession have acknowledged
the
benefits of my shiatsu treatments.

I am married to Kirsty and we live on the
Isle of Mull with our two Labrador dogs.
We enjoy organic gardening, keeping hens and bees, hill-walking,
cross country skiing and sailing our Drascombe Coaster.
I also discovered a new species of fresh water red Hydra
